The benefits of peer groups have been explored before, it’s nothing new. However, we feel we can’t emphasize enough the power these groups have on our team, our ability to support other Integrators, and in the case of FIM (Female Integrator Mastermind) it’s specifically female Integrators lifting one another up – and the amazing opportunities that come from being involved with a peer group.
The Catalyst Integrators™ team strongly believes you get out of a peer group what you put in. Your time is valuable, and as we work to balance the demands of life, work, home, family, and clients, it’s important to choose where you invest your time. Find the group that is right for you, where you can feel supported, be provided with resources, afforded the time and opportunity to make new connections, and where you feel celebrated. Then it’s up to you to provide value in the form of participation, collaboration and encouragement of others in return.
FIM has teed up some of the most important and long-standing relationships making up Catalyst Integrators. FIM was the foundation for the connections between Jamie and Paulina, Kristyn, and Nicole. Several of us have had the honor of speaking at the FIM Annual Summit and have had the privilege of sharing information with new members, as well as those who have been with FIM since the beginning. I will never forget how they welcomed me with open arms the first year I met Kristie Clayton and all the amazing ladies in the FIM group at the EOS Conference(in 2018 I think? So… clearly I forgot the year LOL still memorable). Each year I went with my Visionary to the conference. This particular year he had a last minute conflict and could not go with me. AH - I had to go ALONE?! Who was I going to sit with? Who would I talk to? Insert immediate need to order room service and be in my room alone with my introverted self (yes, I am an introvert, surprising huh?) These ladies must have picked up my scent from the moment I walked into the room alone. They welcomed me, made me feel like I could immediately fit in with them, I found my tribe!
Everyone has a gift to share. Whether it’s a coaching or mentor relationship, inspiring through presentations and sharing tips and tricks, reaching out with a call of connection, or sharing favorite tools and vendors, we can all learn from one another. FIM, as well as other peer groups, offers access to all of these opportunities and more.
Women supporting women is where it’s at! Lifting one another up, showing support, offering a listening ear or an introduction does wonders for a fellow female businesswoman. Think of the last time you received even the smallest of compliments, a note of encouragement, or made a powerful connection. When those boosts come from another woman, there is something special happening. Peer groups where these activities are nurtured, supported, and set up for success can make the difference in one woman’s world and in her overall confidence.
While the ladies of Catalyst continue the work of connecting and supporting, engaging and teaching without the need for recognition, the added bonus of an honor and award is the icing on the cake of peer group involvement (in our humble opinion). There’s something amazing about being cheered by a room full of women who want you to succeed. Catalyst is grateful beyond words to have received the 2022 Summit Champion Award. A huge congratulations goes out to the badass ladies of Catalyst for championing this community for all other female Integrators in need! They all contributed to the success we share as a team. We choose where we put our energy, and we put our energy into FIM!
The freedom to share ideas, hold each other accountable, and the mental benefits of validation are why we do this work. The reward of public recognition is a bonus. The real reward is the connections, the support, and the sharing.
So what will you choose to focus on and where will you share your talents? Is your passion in contributing to a peer group? Or do you have the ability and capacity to serve on a board? Find out how you can support your group. If you can make the time to serve on a committee, reach out to your group and get involved. The benefits will come back to you tenfold.
